*****TODAY'S AMERICAN A$$HOLE SPOTLIGHT***********
May 14- Law enforcement officials in Manning, SC have arrested and charged Yakeisha Ward with assault and battery with the intent to kill. The charges stem from an incident that happened at the accused female's workplace WAFFLEHOUSE. Yakeisha was waiting tables when an unhappy customer commented on her service. The verbal arguement continued until the victim threw a pancake at the waitress (it didnt hit her), so Yakeisha jumped across the counter, ran out to her van and returned with a handgun and shot the victim in the arm. Needless to say she was arrested on site, fired, and now faces serious time in the pokie.....HAHA WHAT AN IDIOT!
Corpus Christi, Texas (May-13)
Straight from the AP (via AOLNEWS)comes a horrifying story of child abuse at a state boarding school for mentally challenged children. Several employees from the school hosted a "late-night fight-club" in which they encouraged the mentally challenged residents to fight each other for the amusement and recreation of the adult employees. Whats worse is that the employees video-taped the fights, and can be heard audibly encouraging the violent behavior.
The DallasNews.com reports the same allegations of abuse. The Gov. Rick Perry halted admissions to the school, and ordered that video-cameras be 'quickly' installed in all 13 state mental institution schools. He has also ordered that extra security officers and superrvisors be on staff at the schools.
ABCNews.com Reports the same allegations, and that the videos were found after a cell-phone belonging to one of the employees was left at a local hospital. The phone was then turned over to the police as lost property. In the 'effort to discover the identity of the phone's owner' the videos were discovered. ABC also has the name of the former resident who is suing the state for the abuse. Armando Hernandez, the plaintiff, being represented by Atty Bob Hilliard, stated that he was told he would "go to prison" if he didn't fight. Hilliard stated that the conduct went on for over a year and took place during the 'night shift'. Hernandez told reporters he didnt report the abuse because he was told "snitches get stitiches."
SO....the investigation is ongoing and we will report the identities of these A$$HOLES as soon as they are released. Now for my rant: Why on earth weren't the injuries reported by staff the following shift? Why weren't their rotating shifts to detect this kind of abuse? How will installing extra security guards and cameras change anything? Were those individuals not adults who were there to ensure the safety of the residents? Who can we trust? How deep did it go?
This brings to light the very real fact that as Americans, who live in a relatively safe/protected environment, we blindly trust individuals within our communities simply due to their implied authority of position. i.e.-POLICE OFFICERS, CLERGYMEN (Pastors, Preachers), JUDGES, POLITICAL FIGURES, and many more. We trust blindly that those people enlisted in those positions are free from bias, predjudice, hate, or other mental sickness or disease. However, how many times do we have to be symbolically slapped in the face because of this blind trust. How many reports of sexual abuse to children have come out of our religious communities? How many Internal Affairs investigations have revealed hordes of corrupt cops? How many improper teacher/student relationships have been brought to light? And we dont even have to expand on the obvious corruption in politics.
As Americans, we each need to ask questions, and speak up when we encounter situations of clear wrongdoing. No matter the title assigned to those people in authority positions, they are still just that PEOPLE. They were not born into devine royalty, nor do they posess any special talent that makes them immune from mistakes and/or corruption and wrongdoing. So trust your local authority figures, but just remember that some of their opinions are...A FAR CRY FROM THE TRUTH...
Thanks Again for reading and drop me an email for a requested topic. I'll do any topic as long as it's not crude.
