The hottest stories that will never make front page in American newspapers

Los Zetas vs. U.S.

Don't get me wrong, they make it in the news, usually as a brief summary on the back of the third page. Follow my logic for a second. If Mexico is responsible for 95% of America's illegal drugs, then the serious crime that occurs in the towns along the border is headline news. I learned how bad the situation was/is and what would/is happening when I watched an episode of the National Geographic show 'Gangland' featuring "Los Zetas" / the Zetas. In the documentary the Zetas military-like organization is outlined, and the back ground is better explained. In a nutshell what happened was:

Pablo Escobar and the Medellin cartel were the number one distributor of cocaine, until he was gunned down by militants and police on a rooftop in 1993. The power was then split between the Cali Cartel and the Gulf Cartel. Then Columbia changed radical governments, so the cartels were forced into hiding in their own country, and forced to do business in other countries, mainly Mexico. The Zetas became the official right hand of the Gulf cartel. With the new business route in place the money poured in and the Zetas hired ex-military and ex-police; then began hiring away the active Mexican Special Forces and the police. The Zetas flaunted their power in Mexico, riding in convoys of armored vehicles with machine guns in hand. The Zetas as a street-gang, migrated into the U.S. just as easily as most illegal immigrants before them. In the United States they play a vital role in distributing the cocaine for the Gulf Cartel.
The Zetas became even more dangerous when they decided to buy straight from the cartels and distribute their own product through their own channels in the United States. Now they have intertwined with Latino street gangs in the U.S. like the 17th Street, Latin Kings, and MS-13. The huge flow of cash into the Zetas' headquarters caused an upset in power in Mexico, as the gangs bank account towered above the account of the Mexican government. This brings us into the present day, as daily accounts of violence between police and Zetas are reported, often with Zetas as the victor. The cartels have a pit bull on a leash with the Zetas, who send huge shipments of American cash back to Colombia to the cartels in exchange for cocaine. The Zetas are so well financed, that they have already purchased helicopters, planes, grenades, rocket launchers RPGs, and whatever else they can imagine. The reason the Mexican President asks the United States to legalize marijuana, is that the Zetas are smuggling marijuana from Mexico to the US (Mexico supplies 95% of pot to US) and using those funds to then purchase cocaine from the cartels. By legalizing marijuana, the Presidente hopes to cut off a vital limb of the Zetas and thus the Cartels. I'm sure he probably expects the US to look to Mexico to continue to supply 95% of the 'now-legal' marijuana, instantly diverting the flow of cash from the Zetas, to the Mexican government. The question now becomes, do we as Americans, want to fund terrorists, the Mexican Government, or do we want to keep that money in the United States? We cannot win the 'war on drugs' magically in one day. People are going to buy and smoke marijuana in the United States, whether it is illegal or legal. They are currently, unknowingly supporting these violent terrorist organizations by purchasing weed from a neighbor. Their American dollars are flowing into these organizations, and furthering the violence on both sides of the border. The desire to legalize marijuana IS a moral question, Deny the prolific use of marijuana in the United States, and continue to turn a blind eye to the constant flow of American dollars into the poorest parts of the world furthering violence and turmoil which has now spilled over the border into our state. OR Forget about pride and accepting marijuana use, and do the responsible thing and legalize marijuana and hemp production in the U.S. and add an enormous cash crop into the economy, adding jobs, contributing TRILLIONS in tax revenue, and releasing non-violent marijuana possession convicted persons from our overcrowded jails and prisons. The most important effect of legalizing marijuana is diverting the flow of American dollars from the cartels, back to America. Whether you agree with marijuana use or not is the same as whether you agree with smoking cigarettes or not, or alcohol. It is a personal opinion and should not be caught up in government.
Lets not allow these cartels and gangs to steal anymore American dollars, lets bring George Washington back to Washington. (Note George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe all had enormous hemp plantations, as well as personal cannabis gardens)

I SEE YOU NAKED!

FULL BODY IMAGING

SECURITY OR SECURITY RISK???...TOOL FOR CRIME STOPPERS OR PERVERTED EMPLOYEES??? THE EXPERTS DON'T KNOW WHATS WHAT. TIME FOR YOU TO DECIDE AND TAKE THE APPROPRIATE ACTION!!

Disturbing news about a mass invasion of the public's privacy comes from CNN out of Atlanta, Georgia. Privacy advocates are in Washington as we speak, petitioning the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to suspend the use of "whole-body imaging", citing the technology's ability to produce a picture of the person scanned completely nude. The national campaign will start this week, and hopes to go 'viral' spreading throughout America in a matter of days. The machines detect both metallic and non-metallic items, and are currently being used in only 19 airports worldwide. Of those 19 airports, only 6 use the machine as a primary security check (instead of x-ray machines) followed by a pat-down. The rest of the airports use the machines as a voluntary secondary security check, in lieu of a pat-down.
The campaign has already recieved the attention of several lawmakers, including Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R) of Utah, who introduced legislation last month to ban these machines. The rest of the article can be found at HERE at CNN.One thing is for certain, with all this news about airplane safety, it's hard to believe 9-11 ever happened. The airlines stepped up, and played the part for a few years after, but it's clear the situation has become out of control. Rather then continually chip away at Americans civil liberties and human rights, we should focus on things we CAN control, like 'mechanical malfunctions'. If the same amount of time and technology were spent aimed at making sure a plane's engine wont stall, or that the wheels stay on; well then we just might start saving a few crashes from taking place, maybe save a few lives in the process. Who knows, it just might work!......worth a try regardless.
Now as for having a naked picture taken of you before being allowed to fly home for Thanksgiving, I can only say to the commercial airlines "I've been on some pretty sketchy buses, been in a few uncomfortable car-pools, but even THEY didnt ask to see me naked before I could ride!" Your just increasing the number of Americans who will not fly on your planes, which in turn = lower ticket sales, so think before you act FAA.

We're gonna fly that baby til the wheels fall off!

More sad news for Colgan Air out of CNN in Buffalo, New York. Colgan Air as you should remember was the carrier of Flight 3407 which crashed in nearby Clarence Center, New York just three months ago killing all 49 on board and one man on the ground. The Colgan Air pilot of that flight was found to be inadequately trained on the 'push stick' emergency procedure for an engine stall.

The plane in that crash was a Q400 model Bombardier. Another Q400 of Colgan's fleet experienced difficulty last week as it touched down at nearby

Buffalo Niagara International Airport. As the planes tires touched the runway, one of the wheels rolled off the axle and into the adjacent runway. No one was injured in the accident, that Colgan Air officially called a 'mechanical malfunction', has the FAA experienced layoffs or cuts in funding? What if it had been the wing that 'fell off due to mechanical malfunctioning' at twenty thousand feet?

We are in the 21st century here people, if we are going to compare flying on a commercial jet to riding a bus, we need to make 100% sure that a REAL mechanic works on that bus to make sure something doesn't happen, like the wheels falling off. Somewhere in a greasy, dust filled Colgan Air shop is a mechanic yelling "See I told you we'd fly Ol' Bessie til her wheels felld off! They just showd it on tha news, her wheel done fell offt!"

I Hate You Michael Phelps You Suck

Straight from the swimming jack-asses mouth, in an interview covered by CNN after the completion of his suspension from competitive swimming...Michael Phelps spoke about the photo of him holding a bong which landed him the suspension, saying it was "bad judgement, and a very-stupid mistake". For his part in allowing it to be posted online, it was a very stupid mistake. Now apparently he wants to save everyone else from the harms of experimental drug use, especially marijuana. Well I hate to be the one to remind Mr. Phelps that the picture was taken a few years prior to him winning 8 Gold Medals in the Bejing Olympics, so smoking marijuana obviously didnt harm his body or lung capacity but SO much...He could easily have been honest and truthful about smoking marijuana and joined the long list of celebrities, actors, and professional athletes that enjoy smoking marijuaa recreationally. But he over-corrected his position so much that he ran off the road, (so to speak.)

In my blog he gets two thumbs down - It's bad enough he got caught in a lie, better to come clean and be honest, then to tell another lie. Boo on you Phelps

POLICE BRUTALITY CAUGHT ON CAMERA

HERO IS ATTACKED BY MACHO COPS!
ACCORDING TO THE LAW, PARAMEDIC IN CHARGE OF ACCIDENT SCENE TRUMPS COPS!

COPS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW...

THEY JUST THINK AND ACT LIKE THEY ARE!

We will not be hearing the cops side of the story on any of these cases in which the misconduct or assault is caught on tape. Cops are paid law enforcement, paid to protect and serve the public. They are supposed to exhibit self control in dealing with the public, because they are a local government official and the face of law enforcement. They are not to conduct their jobs in accordance with any other agenda other than TO PROTECT, and SERVE. No where in the police academy oath does it say "Until you get mad or emotional, then do whatever." Because it has been forgotten that the police exist to protect and serve us, not themselves or any other entity. Any prejudices or preconceived thoughts or ideas should be left behind once that man/woman dons that badge. It is a badge of honor and pride, it doesn't negate the laws of our society for that individual, if anything it magnifies them, and that person should exemplify the character of a model citizen. We should never forget that these men and women are humans capable of mistake just like any other person. They carry only the authority to provide third party resolution to conflicts. They carry weapons as a means of defense, not as a weapon to assault someone with. The restraint cuffs issued to the officer are for the protection of all involved parties, they are not, and should not be used as a torture device or as a means of extracting cooperative behavior. We are ALL human beings with the same rights and privileges and we need to respect the rights and wishes of others just as we expect them to respect our rights and wishes.

I've decided, due to the overwhelming amount of cases, to dedicate this particular post to the incidents involving police or law enforcement. We will showcase the good with the bad, just like all the stories here, so you can decide whats the truth and whats a far cry from it.

After a high-speed chase ended in a suburban neighborhood, the criminal fled on foot for a short distance before lying down prone on the ground with arms and legs spread and extended. Sounds like the perfect police take down. The suspect has been neutralized, he no longer poses a threat to himself, others, or officers. The only thing left to do is to handcuff the suspect and read him his Miranda rights. Right?
Then WHY did an El Monte, CA Police Officer feel it was necessary to take a running start and kick him in the face. It doesn't matter at all what the suspect looked like, his gang affiliations, or what he did; the laws and rights that govern this country are for everyone or no-one. We cannot pick and choose whom the Justice System will work for. I'd like to hear some comments from readers on this one.

VICENTE FOX (Bush ruined it for Obama)

In a CNN interview VIcente Fox, former President of Mexico, stated he cannot trust President Obama because of his past history of misplaced trust with George W. Bush. When asked about immigration reform ruining a US President's public approval, he boldly state that "a good President should look ahead to the next generation, not the next election. That was the problem with Bush, he looked at the next election, thats why he started with Iraq."

He praised Presidente Calderon for cutting the drug supply to US and Mexican youths.

WATER-BOARDING NANCY PELOSI :)

SO....You know I'd have to take a minute to write up a little response to Nancy Pelosi's comments about the CIA 'Water-boarding' scandal. So Nancy claims that she was briefed ONLY once about the techniques of torture and interrogation, but that she was told that those techniques were not being used at that time.(2002)
I believe that is probably exactly what happened. She was NOT told that is was being used but she was told that it had been used before. She was told water-boarding was legal, but not being used.
It reminds me of plenty of previous political answers being picked apart. A.Bush and Weapons of Mass Destruction and what defines good intelligence vs bad intelligence B. Bill Clinton and what constitutes 'sexual relations' with a woman? C. Nixon and the Watergate scandal. The list goes on and on and on....its what politicians do... they say something...then they clarify their previous statements to reflect the current public opinion.
Rick Sanchez hit the nail on the head with his arson anallogy, and the blame should fall on the Bush Administration and those who okayed the torture. The torturer Ali Soophan(?) even admitted that water-boarding didnt even work. (So much for Dick Cheney's statement that it saved millions of lives) Ali goes on to say that Al Queda prepares these terrorists for much harsher torture, and so water-boarding is extremely slow or unsucessfull. Sounds to me like water-boarding is the chinese finger trap of torture.
Regardless, the people who committed this torture, and those that ordered it, (no matter how lame a technique) should be brought to justice under the Human Rights Act.

I think the only way to define the torture methods and the knowledge of the politicians involved is to take them and attempt to extract the truth through the same torture methods that they applied to the supposed terrorists. In other words, hog-tie Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, Nancy Pelosi, and whoever else was involved and water-board the truth out of them. If it doesnt work we'll all know....and if it DOES work..well then we'll all know.

Pilot in crash acted improperly in emergency situation due to inadequate training

So.. The news story surfaced three months ago about the plane crash outside Buffalo, New York that killed all 49 on-board, as well as one man in the house the plane struck on the ground. Continental Connection Flight 3407, operated by the regional carrier Colgan Air, stalled during midflight and the black-box recording contains little more than frightful screams. The National Transportation Safety Board as well as the FAA launched investigations into the cause of the disaster. The overall theory is that the engine stalled due to mechanical failure, possibly caused by the icy conditions.
However, it has also come to light that the Capt. Marvin Renslow, was not properly trained. Colgan Air admitted that Renslow had never been trained on the 'stick pusher' emergency system in a flight simulator, and had only been instructed on its use during ground school. Colgan Air is not at fault for negligence as the FAA does NOT require this training. Veteran Pilot Douglas Moss told CNN that he believes the 'stick pusher' emergency system training should be a mandatory requirement for all aspiring pilots. In fact, Wally Warner a Bombardier test pilot testified Tuesday that he still believes the pilot should have been able to overcome the planes' engine stall.

The newest buzz is that he was tired. Now the politicians and the media want the definition of 'sleeping'. To quote some random reporter at the Colgan Air press conference "Is napping sleeping? At what point can an accident be just that...an accident? People run their car off the road and die everyday, sometimes for no obvious reasons. However, we dont spend tax dollars doing a full CSI work-up when the signs point to an accident. The word needs no further definition, because it defines itself. Something unintentional and random. The pilot obviously wasn't but SO tired or he wouldn't have flown (he didnt want to die) and what about the co-pilot? Was he tired too? NO. Sometimes things happen that we cant explain, and as Americans we have a hard time accepting this.

Checking in with all sides means visiting the World Socialist Website.org. They reported that the twin engine turbo-prop Bombardier Dash 8 Q 400 plunged to the ground destroying a house on the ground, killing 50 people in total. They offered an extensive amount of technical FAA regulations and requirements, with a thesis on blaming the inexperienced Pilot Marvin Renslow (47) and First Officer (Co-Pilot) Rebecca Lynn Shaw (24) who apparently were taken by total suprise at the plane's stall. Again it has been re-stated that the pilot had never been trained how to use the push stick emergency system in a flight simulator.

****DAILY AMERICAN A$$HOLE SPOTLIGHT***

*****TODAY'S AMERICAN A$$HOLE SPOTLIGHT***********

May 14- Law enforcement officials in Manning, SC have arrested and charged Yakeisha Ward with assault and battery with the intent to kill. The charges stem from an incident that happened at the accused female's workplace WAFFLEHOUSE. Yakeisha was waiting tables when an unhappy customer commented on her service. The verbal arguement continued until the victim threw a pancake at the waitress (it didnt hit her), so Yakeisha jumped across the counter, ran out to her van and returned with a handgun and shot the victim in the arm. Needless to say she was arrested on site, fired, and now faces serious time in the pokie.....HAHA WHAT AN IDIOT!

Corpus Christi, Texas (May-13)

Straight from the AP (via AOLNEWS)comes a horrifying story of child abuse at a state boarding school for mentally challenged children. Several employees from the school hosted a "late-night fight-club" in which they encouraged the mentally challenged residents to fight each other for the amusement and recreation of the adult employees. Whats worse is that the employees video-taped the fights, and can be heard audibly encouraging the violent behavior.

The DallasNews.com reports the same allegations of abuse. The Gov. Rick Perry halted admissions to the school, and ordered that video-cameras be 'quickly' installed in all 13 state mental institution schools. He has also ordered that extra security officers and superrvisors be on staff at the schools.

ABCNews.com Reports the same allegations, and that the videos were found after a cell-phone belonging to one of the employees was left at a local hospital. The phone was then turned over to the police as lost property. In the 'effort to discover the identity of the phone's owner' the videos were discovered. ABC also has the name of the former resident who is suing the state for the abuse. Armando Hernandez, the plaintiff, being represented by Atty Bob Hilliard, stated that he was told he would "go to prison" if he didn't fight. Hilliard stated that the conduct went on for over a year and took place during the 'night shift'. Hernandez told reporters he didnt report the abuse because he was told "snitches get stitiches."

SO....the investigation is ongoing and we will report the identities of these A$$HOLES as soon as they are released. Now for my rant: Why on earth weren't the injuries reported by staff the following shift? Why weren't their rotating shifts to detect this kind of abuse? How will installing extra security guards and cameras change anything? Were those individuals not adults who were there to ensure the safety of the residents? Who can we trust? How deep did it go?
This brings to light the very real fact that as Americans, who live in a relatively safe/protected environment, we blindly trust individuals within our communities simply due to their implied authority of position. i.e.-POLICE OFFICERS, CLERGYMEN (Pastors, Preachers), JUDGES, POLITICAL FIGURES, and many more. We trust blindly that those people enlisted in those positions are free from bias, predjudice, hate, or other mental sickness or disease. However, how many times do we have to be symbolically slapped in the face because of this blind trust. How many reports of sexual abuse to children have come out of our religious communities? How many Internal Affairs investigations have revealed hordes of corrupt cops? How many improper teacher/student relationships have been brought to light? And we dont even have to expand on the obvious corruption in politics.

As Americans, we each need to ask questions, and speak up when we encounter situations of clear wrongdoing. No matter the title assigned to those people in authority positions, they are still just that PEOPLE. They were not born into devine royalty, nor do they posess any special talent that makes them immune from mistakes and/or corruption and wrongdoing. So trust your local authority figures, but just remember that some of their opinions are...A FAR CRY FROM THE TRUTH...

Navy Guy Kills 5

So this guy (Army Sgt. John M. Russell of Sherman, TX) snapped, too many years of military life or whatever his motives, the victims have been identified.

CNN- Reported that he had been on psychiatric evaluation for awhile and had recently been totally relieved of his duty and his weapon was taken from him. He apparently realized his Naval career was over, and so he attacked a fellow soldier and wrestled his gun from him and shot and killed 5 fellow Naval officers.

Fox News- Reported the same except I got the names of all the brave guys who were killed by this lunatic.

Army Maj. Matthew P. Houseal (54) of Amarillo, TX.
Army Sgt. Christian E. Bueno-Galdos (25) of Paterson, NJ.
Army PFC. Michael E. Yates (19) of Federalsburg, MD.
Army Spc. Jacob D. Barton (20) of Lenox, MO.
Navy Cmdr. Charles K. Springle (52) of Wilmington, NC.

GOD-BLESS THESE POOR BRAVE SOULS WHO SERVED OUR COUNTRY PROUDLY!

Haters get Trumped

So its all over the news, I guess they ran out of 'real' news, but it is important nonetheless. Donald Trump has made a ruling over the fate of Miss California/USA Carrie Prejean, and in a bold move has defended the young lady. Miss Prejean made headlines after she made her beliefs on same-sex marriage known publicly in a response to a question from guest judge Perez Hilton. She then went on to finish first runner-up, and appear once again in the headlines after some topless pictures of her surfaced. It appeared as though she may be stripped of her title, but Trump announced publicly that Miss Prejean's pictures were "beautiful, and tasteful". HAHAHA GO DONNY TRUMP! I'm sure Trump has several lamenated copies posted throughout his 'art-gallery', Very sorry to pass this off as news, just found it amusing.

Help me Help you

The fun and different part about this blog is that we investigate topics and stories that are important to you (the reader)
Email me at LteNteCoastin@aol.com and title your subject "A Far Cry From The Truth"

I promise to investigate every story or topic and post my findings on here...SO EMAIL ME YOUR CONCERNS AND WE'LL FIGURE THIS THING OUT TOGETHER!

UGA Professor

So CNN has a headline running today about the University of Georgia Professor who apparently killed his wife and two other folks. They reported that he dug his own grave, got into the hole, covered himself up with leaves and twigs (somehow), then shot himself in the head. It has been classified as a suicide. I'm no CSI but why the hell would anyone go through that much trouble to kill themself? People usually dont do that much prep work before blowin their brains out.

Fox News reported on the situation as well and stated in their online article, that he dug the hole himself, dumped dirt and debris on himself, and then shot himself in the head.

(How can somebody dump dirt on themselves from INSIDE THE HOLE? we've all tried to bury ourselves in the sand at the beach, and it doesnt work, you need another person.)

FoxNews.com also reported that his body was found near his 'partially wrecked Jeep'. (What the hell does partially wrecked mean?) The Jeep was found in a ravine. Read more at Foxnews.com

Not really important news, but very scary as to the depth of investigating law enforcement officials do when they discover an apparent suicide. I personally think there is more behind this story, but due to the lack of further investigation on the part of the authorities, we may never know.

SWINE FLU

This is old news but with a twist. I read both the Daily Progress (Charlottesville, VA) AND the Richmond Times Dispatch (Richmond, Va) everyday. One day a few weeks ago I noticed both front pages contained "Swine Flu" headlines.
The Daily Progress reported that there had been 48 confirmed cases in the US and 2 cases reported in Virginia. The article went on to further detail the origins of all cases and the threat to the public. The only downfall was that min-article on page A3 (13 Police Officers executed in Tiajuana) wasn't 'front-page news'.

The Richmond Times Dispatch also contained a Swine-Flue headline. However, their article reported that there had been NO confirmed cases in the US, and that the virus was confined to Mexico. I had to read it twice to be sure. Surely these news papers receive the same news feed from the AP, so someone had to interject some personal opinion or view into public news.
Makes you think, how many news articles are edited to portray a hidden agenda. Just be warned that no one news source will provide 100% accurate information. The only way to achieve 100% of the story is to compile all the news articles from all sides and allow the reader the ability to judge the truth for themselves.

Nobody wants to hear the opinions of others, so we'll post all the 'facts' and let you decide whats true and whats A FAR CRY FROM THE TRUTH.

Just Getting Started

So.. this blog is obviously just getting started, I hurt my back at work and I'm laid up on the couch for a week, so being a 'part-time professional writer', I wanted to give this blogging thing a try. I hear if you get alot of hits you can make money. SO..here goes nothing, if at the end of the week I havent gotten enough hits then this blog will most likely be abandoned. BUT, should I receive positive feedback in the form of lots of hits, then this crazy lil idea will keep going, and going, and going.
So.. by now your wondering what the overall theme of this blog will be. Well my mission statement is this: I will post news stories, political things, all kinds of information that has been submitted to the public and then was discovered to be... A FAR CRY FROM THE TRUTH!

I welcome any submissions, and I will set up an anonymous email for those submissions. ( the media will NOT like this blog as it makes them look like fools..but who the hell cares..the public needs to know the truth.

Finally, dont think that because I give a damn about the truth in local, regional, and world-wide news and politics, that I am a negative anti-American, quite the opposite so there WILL be humor involved in 75% of the posts. Thanks for reading my blog,
